It’s been a while…

It has been a while since I’ve blogged, which would generally mean that I’m too busy, but that isn’t the case. Sometimes, life just isn’t that exciting to write about!

The school year has been good thus far. My students are nice and they seem to enjoy having me around, so that is a plus. I’ve gotten back into my swimming and running training and competitions. Last year I competed in my first ever aquathon (swim/run) which I blogged about in this post. I reunited with my team mate, Hayley, and we raced again on October 4. Like last year we come in second place in the team category. Here we are with our medals.Image

And now just a month into the new school year we are on holiday! In celebration of the end of the period for Hajj (Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca) we are celebration Eid al Adha here in the UAE! I’ve done some relaxing and shopping during the first half of this holiday and on Tuesday evening I leave for India. A quick four day trip to visit India’s “Golden Triangle” (New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur). The trip is organized by Escape Travels whom I traveled to Sri Lanka with last year and should be a great time. Hope to have some good photos and experiences to share next week!
